My Father Was Not Remembered Despite Years Of Loyalty And Dedication ~ Ekpeyo Blows Hot

A strong party man of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Comrade Udofia Ekpeyo today, reveals what led to his father defection to the opposition party in the state.

Comrade Ekpeyo, had made it known to AY Tv an online medium, stating reasons to why the father left the party he had build from the beginning. 

Ekpeyo, however, stated that his father Chief (Hon) Elder Emmanuel Udo Ekpeyo, chose to defect from the party PDP as regards to non recognition, motivation and compensation for his years of political contributions to the party right from its founding days.

Hon Ekpeyo, has always been a strong bulldozer in the political history of Ikwe community, Onna, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large having served in many capacities especially in the era before the PDP in the country. Hon Ekpeyo, single handily has sponsored many PDP members to the limelight and has continued to win the support of his people for the party over the years.

Hon Ekpeyo, had sponsored PDP that is Dr Goodluck Johnathan in 2015 to return as the President of the country, having staked his houses, buses, hotels and huge amounts to the campaign organization of former President Johnathan. Hon Ekpeyo, was the founder and chairman of Friends of Goodluck Johnathan campaign organization who even slumped to the announcement of Goodluck congratulating President Buhari.

Hon Ekpeyo, after losing millions of naira, returned back to contest for the Local Government Chairmanship of which he was promised but still spent the remaining cash and nothing was given to him as per contributing so much in the party. 

Years gone, Hon Ekpeyo, was appointed the deputy chapter chairman of the party PDP in Onna and instead of promotion, he was demoted to the position of the chapter auditor of the party, a position he resigned from to embrace the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

Hon Ekpeyo, in years back was promised to become the Afigh Iwaad Ekid, President, a social-cultural group in Eket senatorial district, Akwa Ibom were he spent so much money doing all the necessary things but at end, he was betrayed even without an option.

Meanwhile, many people have complained about his actions but then, no one will actually went through all of the struggles he went and still be happy. He tried his best in the past and he was not in the public spotlight but defecting from the party has suddenly become the most interesting news in the area. Comrade Ekpeyo added.

Stop telling me, ‘you see! Your father would have remained in the party, now, he would have achieved a lot because you only speak what you know especially as a baby politician’ Comrade Ekpeyo said.

Go ask people of his political class and you will know the very truth without fear. Hon Ekpeyo, deserves peace at wherever or whatever party he is and one, cannot still tell, if he will still come back to embrace his party after all, he is not the first to go and come back. Comrade Ekpeyo added.
