Mr Ofonime Dickson Essien popularly known as Rasman Skiller, a Nigerian born Reggae singer and writer born September 13, 1964. He Hails from Akwa Ibom State, the prestigious and fastest growing state in Nigeria.
Rasman Skiller , is a popular and powerful music icon who’s music has become the motivation warehouse for many Nigerians and beyond Africa to the global world.
He is passionate and a great supporter, promoter of peace, unity, love and growth and this can be sighted in his message through music. He is popularly recognized and formally acknowledged by Columbia Records as the Bacchanalian Rock (B&R) originator worldwide and equally a well known, respected, influential, recognized and superb member of the PMAN in Nigeria.
Bacchanalian Rock (B&R) is a new creation and different form of music. It is a fusion of classical and pure reggae vibes with rock percussion and Afro beats. It is quite a great juxtaposition of different Afro rhythms making up what is now known as Bacchanalian Music.
Rasman Skiller after his return from Jamaica, he became the first Nigerian artist to promote Armstel and Legend Extra Stout for Nigeria Breweries Plc. The Nigerian Reggae Lord Rasman Skiller, took the message of Armstel and Legend Stout across Lagos with Star Night of December 8, 1995 alongside with that of January 13, 1995 at Ipronri Market and in 1996, the music icon took same brands to Alade Market Ikeja.
Rasman Skiller, is well decorated and known as the B&R I-tal controller, the Lincoln Limousine Chauffeur driven star in Nigerian Television Networks.
Let’s celebrate him as he is still very active. Even at old age, he is still very superb. We love you Rasman Skiller!
This type of music Icon deserves an award from the Nigerian brewery, Pman and Akwa Ibom state governments.
